The above matter and the telephonic
conversation between the writer and yourself on 16 March 2005 refer.
Attached please find the amended press
release and kindly note that the earlier release has been retracted.
We apologise for any inconvenience caused.
A copy of the draft pre-settlement
agreement which we propose to sign with the claimant committee is
attached for your information. Please note that this not the fianl
draft. Further, we confirm that only preliminary verification has
been concluded and the verification process is yet to be completed.
The writer is also advised by the
Legal Resources Centre that the claim was gazetted many years ago.
As soon as we have confirmed whether or not this is the case you
will be advised.
